ABOUT US
Hori & Associates (currently Hori & Partners) was established on the eighth floor of Kioicho Building at 3-12 Kioicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo in December 1989, as a law firm primarily handling legal advisory service to client companies. Since then, our law firm has continued to operate at the same location, and has gradually expanded its practice area scale with the participation of additional partners with differing fields of expertise and experience.
We handle a broad spectrum of fields including financial regulations and transactions, general corporate, labor law, anti-trust, M&As, intellectual property, cross-border legal matters and litigations.
In particular, our main forte lies in financial legal matters such as banking, securities, trusts, insurance, venture capitals, payments, as well as litigations requiring substantive expertise.
Cross-border transactions account for a certain specific portion of our service, and we plan to expand this practice area further in the future.
Our Policy
Since its establishment, our law firm has been focusing on providing client companies with various legal services. In order to provide clients with legal services in a timely and proper manner, we are constantly required to not only develop and maintain in-depth expertise but also understand clients’ businesses and their industries as well as pay attention to changes in and trends of the regulatory environment.
We assign our lawyers to each client, and encourage them to deal with client requests in a sincere, careful and prompt manner, with a view to deepening their expertise and assuring consistency in clients’ business. Furthermore, we hold regular study sessions so that our individual colleagues may share as much knowledge and experience with each other as possible.
It is also an important part of our practice to support our clients in diversified ways by secondment of our lawyers, or undertaking roles as officers or various committee members.
